Primo Carnera

Heavyweight Champion
1933-34
6'6"-267 lb. Primo Carnera was the all-time physical giant of all the modern
heavyweight champions. Carnera was a big but harmless man. At one time he
was moved around by a syndicate of gangsters, and many of his early
so-called victories were rigged. He was agile in a big-footed way, but his
arms were impotent when he laced up the gloves. Following his boxing career
Carnera turned to professional wrestling where he made enough money to open
a liquor store in California.
