A very rare vintage photo of two of the greatest fighters the pugilistic world has known... Former world heavyweight champion Jack Johnson is meeting future welterweight and middleweight champion Sugar Ray Robinson for the very first time... Photo was taken at the Ringside Gym while Robinson was in training to meet Sgt. Lou Woods Friday Oct. 27, 1944 in Chicago... Johnson is 66 years old at the time of this photo, Robinson is 23 and yet to hold a world title... A very clear and unique image!!
