NOT YOUR AVERAGE FIGHT VENUE!!

Construction of The Egg began in 1966 and was not completely finished until 1978. It took 12 years to build at a cost of $48 million dollars. The result is not only an architectural wonder, but one of the most functional and sophisticated performing arts centers in the northeast-and the world. Though it appears to sit on the main platform, the stem which holds The Egg actually goes down through six stories, deep into the earth. No, Mike Tyson did not actually fight his pro debut in that egg looking building, but in Convention Hall which is part of a very large facility beneath this structure.

Mike Tyson's original pro debut poster from "The Egg" at the Empire Plaza in Albany, N.Y. ... Signed by both Mike Tyson and former trainer, Kevin Rooney, in blue sharpie marker... Both signatures were obtained by me outside a court house in Albany, N.Y. on 9/25/96... Rooney was suing Tyson at the time claiming he had a verbal contract to be his "life time" trainer, both were gracious signers when I was there... Extremely rare, the only pro debut poster I've seen signed by him, and quite possibly unique!... And yes, it was $15 for a ringside seat!! measures: 22 x 28"
