He ran through millions of dollars during his lucrative career, living the life of a playboy whose off-hours carousing did little to affect his prowess in the ring. Compact and heavily-muscled, Walker had a repertoire of punches to mince the opposition, no matter what their weight class. He was a champion for nine years, holding the welterweight and middleweight titles successively.
